Through all of the technology and innovation the most effective way to deliver a word of mouth message has always been in person.
The reason companies in the last 10 years have dumped millions upon billions into social networks verses the traditional marketing (Yellow Pages Billboards Newspaper adds etc.) is simply because people are all about there social networks. (The operative word being “Network”)
Networking is in my personal opinion, the best way to showcase yourself one on one to your direct market. Lets think for a second, what was the last sponsored add you saw on Facebook? Now who was the last professional you connected with? Its a lot easier to bring that person to mind than the billions of ads that flash across your screen everyday. And best yet there is a strong chance that person can bring you to mind as well.
Networking is simply fair marketing exchange its both a give and a get! You aren’t simply being sold something your connecting in a lasting memorable way that no marketing add will ever come close to.
When networking is done right it can be a game changing activity for your business!
